FAQ

General

What is prediction.click?

A real-time tool that shows you mispriced Polymarket crypto markets and lets you trade them in one click. We compute fair values using a mathematical model and show you the Edge — the gap between our fair value and the market price.

Is this free?

Yes, browsing the dashboard, charts, and fair values is completely free. Trading requires a wallet and USDC on Polygon.

How does prediction.click make money?

Through the Polymarket Builder Program. When you trade through our app, the volume is attributed to us, and we receive a share of the trading fees. This does not cost you anything extra.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can browse without an account. To trade, just connect your wallet — no email, phone, or signup required.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, prediction.click works on mobile browsers. The orderbook panel is hidden on smaller screens, but all core features — dashboard, charts, trading, and positions — are fully functional on mobile.

How do I get USDC on Polygon?

See Getting USDC on Polygon. The easiest way is to deposit via Polymarket directly, which supports credit cards and crypto transfers.

Trading

How much money do I need to start?

The minimum order size is $25 USDC on Polygon. You'll also need a small amount of POL for gas fees (usually less than $0.01 per trade).

What happens when a market expires?

  • If you're on the right side (e.g., bought UP and price went up): you receive $1.00 per share

  • If you're wrong: your shares are worth $0

  • Payouts are automatic on Polymarket

Can I sell before expiry?

Yes. Click the SELL button to close your position at the current market price. This is useful if the edge has shrunk or if you want to take profits early.

What is slippage?

The difference between the price you expect and the price you actually get. In fast-moving markets, the price can change between when you click BUY and when your order is filled. The slippage setting (default 2%) sets the maximum deviation you'll accept.

Why does it say "HOLD" on most rows?

HOLD means the Edge is less than 3%. The market is close to fairly priced, and the potential profit doesn't justify the trading costs and risks.

Model

How accurate is the model?

In backtesting against 7,815 resolved markets, the model achieved a 76.3% win rate with a Brier score 26% better than random. See Backtest Results for full details.

Can the model be wrong?

Yes. No model is perfect. The model is based on historical volatility patterns and mathematical distributions. Sudden news events, unusual market conditions, or changes in market microstructure can cause the model to be inaccurate. Never trade more than you can afford to lose.

Why does Fair Value sometimes show near 50%?

This usually means either:

  • The spot price is very close to the starting price (S ≈ K)

  • Volatility is very high (anything could happen)

  • There's lots of time remaining in the window

All of these make the outcome uncertain, pushing fair value toward 50/50.

What does STALE mean?

STALE means our price feed from Binance may have interrupted. Fair values shown may not be accurate. Do not trade when data is stale. Wait for the green LIVE indicator to return.

MCP Server & AI Agents

Can AI agents use prediction.click?

Yes. We provide an open-source MCP serverarrow-up-right that gives AI agents access to all market data, fair values, and trading opportunities. See the MCP Server guide for setup instructions.

What tools does the MCP server provide?

8 tools: scan_opportunities, get_markets, get_fair_value, get_spot_price, get_orderbook, get_opportunity, get_history, and get_health. See the full tool reference.

Can AI agents place trades through the MCP server?

Not currently. The MCP server is read-only — it provides market data and opportunity analysis. Trades must be executed through the prediction.clickarrow-up-right web UI.

Wallet & Security

Is my wallet safe?

prediction.click never has access to your private keys. Wallet connection is handled by Privy, a trusted wallet authentication provider. Trading is done through a Gnosis Safe smart contract wallet on Polygon.

What is the Gnosis Safe?

Polymarket requires all trades to go through a Gnosis Safe smart contract wallet. When you first connect, one is automatically deployed for you. This is the same system used by all Polymarket traders.

Where are my funds?

Your USDC and positions are on-chain on the Polygon network. You can always view and manage them directly on Polymarket — you're not locked into prediction.click.

What if prediction.click goes down?

Your funds and positions are safe on-chain. You can manage them directly on polymarket.comarrow-up-right. Nothing is custodied by us.

I cleared my browser data and my P&L is gone. Are my funds safe?

Yes. Your positions and funds are always on-chain. Only the P&L display is affected because entry prices are stored locally in your browser. Your actual positions can be viewed and managed on polymarket.comarrow-up-right.
